The mental health and wellbeing of female farmers is one of the elements of sustainable agriculture. In agriculture, a lot of things are said about animal welfare, and very little about human welfare. Welfare should be about the whole ecosystem. The unpredictability of remuneration, the market, the weather and yields, as well as more and more regulations and the lack of sufficient time off work affect the psychological wellbeing of those working in agriculture.
