Why Supporting Women in Agriculture is Good for Business?

Warsaw hosted the second conference organized by the Agro Woman Foundation, entitled ‘Women in Agriculture. The event was dedicated to supporting women from agricultural backgrounds, emphasizing their roles as leaders and innovators in the agricultural sector. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Agor Woman Mentoring

Agro Woman Mentoring is a program aimed at supporting the professional development of women in the agri-food sector, particularly those involved in crop production, animal husbandry, or food processing. It also seeks to create a space for discussion on innovation, management, the role of sustainability, and future challenges.

The idea of Agro Woman

For centuries, women have been a key part of farm operations in Poland and Europe. Today, women in agriculture have a unique opportunity to support the changes we want to see in our sector and to help each other succeed now – and in the future.

Our programmes

The Agro Woman initiative was established in the middle of 2023. We are currently focused on launching our initial two programmes: one on promoting and sharing knowledge on challenges in agriculture, with a particular focus on the role of women, and the other that supports female entrepreneurship in the food production sector to face challenges of running a business.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Empowering women is integral to each of the 17 sustainable development goals. We support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) adopted by world leaders in 2015, providing a roadmap for progress that is sustainable, and leaves no one behind.
