The second Agro Woman conference focuses on supporting women from agricultural communities, highlighting their role as leaders and innovators in the farming sector. Gender equality is one of the fundamental values of the European Union, with particular attention given to increasing the involvement of women in the socio-economic development of rural areas—especially their contribution to shaping innovative agriculture.
The first study in Poland on the living and social conditions of women in agriculture—conducted by the Foundation in cooperation with the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture—marks an important step toward identifying the specific needs of women in agriculture. This will enable more precise development of policies and support programs targeted at this sector. The conference will present the results of this research, as well as experiences from other countries that promote the professional and personal development of women in agriculture.
The conference serves as a valuable platform for sharing experiences and inspiration, supporting equality and sustainable development in the sector, while emphasizing the importance of this topic in the context of Poland’s presidency priorities in the EU Council.
