How to Draw Strength from Mentoring?

We have just concluded the first expert meeting as part of the Agro Woman Mentoring 2024 program, during which we discussed how to draw strength from mentoring, what a partnership relationship is, and how both parties involved in mentoring can learn from each other.

Our guest was Beata Paciorek, a manager with over 20 years of business experience responsible for developing talent and leadership strategies, implementing performance management processes, and building employer branding and recruitment strategies. Beata also has experience in managing cultural transformation and holds a degree in psychology as well as postgraduate studies in coaching and mentoring.

The partnership relationship is what matters most, regardless of hierarchy. This type of relationship allows both parties to learn. The key is sharing one’s own experiences and asking questions. It’s important to remember that this is not about providing ready-made solutions or typical advice. Mentoring is a joint journey that unlocks our potential, not just today, but also in the future. It’s not always easy to accept another perspective, but it allows us to release many competencies that lie hidden within us, waiting for their moment.

– noted Beata Paciorek.

The meeting provided an opportunity for a joint discussion among Mentors, Mentees, and the program participants about the progress of the mentoring program and to reflect on our shared experiences from the first edition. Expert meetings are available exclusively to participants of the Agro Woman Mentoring program and serve as an extension of the mentoring meetings, aimed at presenting participants with various perspectives and business experiences through meetings with market experts.

We are deeply convinced that rural women deserve full support in achieving their professional ambitions. Our mission includes eliminating barriers, promoting equality, and making careers in the agri-food sector more attractive. We strive for every woman to find satisfaction and achieve economic success commensurate with her skills and commitment.

– summarized the first expert meeting, the initiators of the program, Małgorzata Bojańczyk and Karolina Tarnawska.

Agro Woman Mentoring 2024 is a program aimed at supporting the professional development of women in the agri-food sector, particularly those involved in cultivation, breeding, or food processing, as well as creating a space for discussion on innovation, management, the role of sustainability, and the challenges of the future. The pilot project of the Program involves 16 women farmers, as indicated by Beata Paciorek.
